ReviewStar Draw — Terms & Conditions

No purchase, subscription, or payment of any kind by the participant is required to enter or win the Draw. Participation is entirely free for the customer (the “Participant”) leaving a review on a ReviewStar shop. Submitting a review costs nothing and entry is automatic upon a valid review submission as described below.

For these Draw Terms:

• “Shop” means a business that subscribes to the ReviewStar Service and makes its review channel available via a ReviewStar QR code or link.
• “Eligible Review”means a review submitted by a Participant through a ReviewStar Shop's review page during a Draw Period that (a) includes a valid Indian mobile number, (b) has not been hidden, removed, or flagged as fraudulent by ReviewStar, the Shop, or our automated systems, and (c) was not generated by automated, repeated, or fraudulent means.
• “Draw Period”means a calendar month (Indian Standard Time) during which the Draw is “open” in the ReviewStar admin dashboard.
• “Prize” means a reward set by ReviewStar for a given Draw, typically in the form of an electronic gift voucher (Amazon, Myntra, partner merchant, or similar) of a specified Indian Rupee value.
• “Tier”means a category of Prize within a single Draw (e.g. “Grand Prize”, “Runner-up”, “Consolation”), each with a stated rupee value and number of winners.

To participate, you must:

• be aged 18 years or older at the time of entry;
• be an Indian resident with a valid Indian mobile number;
• not be an employee, director, contractor, agent, or immediate family member of an employee/director of the Promoter or its parent, subsidiary, or affiliate companies; and
• not be a registered shop owner, super-admin, or admin user of the ReviewStar platform.

The Draw is void where prohibited by applicable local, state, or central law. Participants are responsible for confirming that participation is lawful in their state of residence before entering. We may exclude entries from any state, region, or jurisdiction at our sole discretion to comply with applicable law, and any such exclusion will be without liability to us.

Entry into the Draw is automatic. Each Eligible Review submitted on a ReviewStar Shop's review page during an open Draw Period generates one entry in the Draw, subject to the Tier weighting described in clause 5. No additional registration, form, or confirmation is required.

If multiple reviews are submitted from the same mobile number for the same Shop during a single Draw Period, only one entry per (number, Shop) pair will be counted, regardless of the number of reviews submitted.

The number of entries an Eligible Review generates in the Draw depends on the subscription plan of the Shop being reviewed at the time the winner is picked:

• Reviews of Starter-plan Shops generate 1 entry per (number, Shop) pair.
• Reviews of Growth-plan Shops generate 3 entries per (number, Shop) pair.
• Reviews of Pro-plan Shops generate 10 entries per (number, Shop) pair.

This weighting is applied at the moment of the random pick. The Participant pays nothing for any of these entries; the weighting simply reflects the contribution of the Shop's subscription tier to the platform. Shop subscription decisions are made by Shops, not Participants. We disclose this weighting publicly here, on the /winners page, and on the ReviewStar marketing site.

The Promoter sets the structure of each Draw — including the number of Tiers, the rupee value of each Tier, and the number of winners per Tier — at its sole discretion before the Draw Period begins. The Prize structure for any open or announced Draw is published on the /winners page.

Prizes will typically be issued as electronic gift vouchers (e.g. Amazon, Myntra, or partner merchant vouchers) of the stated rupee value. We reserve the right to substitute any Prize with another item or voucher of equal or greater value, in our sole discretion. Prizes are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and have no cash alternative.

After a Draw Period closes, winners are selected by an automated process that:

• pulls all Eligible Reviews submitted during the Draw Period;
• de-duplicates entries by (mobile number, Shop) pair;
• applies the Tier weighting in clause 5 to compute the entry pool;
• uses a seeded random selection algorithm to choose winners for each Tier in order from highest to lowest;
• removes all entries linked to a winning mobile number once that number wins, so that a single Participant can only win one Prize per Draw; and
• stores the random seed, the timestamp, and the operating administrator's identifier so the selection can be re-verified later upon reasonable request.

The decision of the Promoter on the identity of winners is final and binding and not subject to dispute, except in the case of demonstrable error in the selection process.

Winners will be notified by ReviewStar within 15 days of the close of the relevant Draw Period via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or telephone call to the contact details provided in the winning review. Winners may also be required to verify their identity (e.g. by confirming the review they submitted, the Shop they reviewed, or providing valid government-issued identification) before a Prize is released.

If a winner cannot be reached within 30 days of the close of the Draw Period, fails verification, is disqualified, or declines the Prize, the Promoter may at its sole discretion either (a) select an alternate winner from the same Tier using the same seeded process, or (b) leave the Tier slot unfilled. We have no further liability in either case.

By participating in the Draw, you consent to ReviewStar publishing, on the public /winners page and in our marketing materials, the following information about you in the event you win:

• your first name only;
• the last 4 digits of your mobile number (the preceding digits are masked);
• the name and city of the Shop you reviewed;
• the Shop's ReviewStar subscription plan at the time of pick;
• the Tier and Prize value won; and
• the month of the Draw.

We will not publish your full name, full phone number, address, email, the content of your review, or your rating score. If you object to this minimal publication, please contact us at support@reviewstar.in before claiming the Prize.

Where the value of a Prize exceeds ₹10,000, the Promoter is required to deduct tax at source (TDS) under Section 194B of the Income Tax Act, 1961, currently at the rate prescribed by law. The net Prize value delivered to the winner will be reduced accordingly, or alternatively the winner may be required to deposit the TDS amount with the Promoter prior to Prize release. The Promoter will issue a Form 16A to the winner within the statutory timeline.

All other taxes, levies, or charges arising from receipt or use of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify any entry or revoke any Prize at any time if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the Participant has:

• submitted a false, misleading, or fraudulent review;
• used automated, repeated, scripted, or coordinated means to enter (including but not limited to multi-account abuse and SIM-swap abuse);
• colluded with a Shop, Shop owner, employee, or other Participant to influence the outcome of any Draw;
• tampered with, hacked, or attempted to circumvent the entry, selection, or verification process; or
• breached these Draw Terms in any other material respect.

Disqualified entries are removed from the entry pool. Where a disqualified Participant has already been declared a winner, the Prize will be re-allocated under clause 8.

The Promoter processes the contact information you provided in your review (name and mobile number) for the limited purpose of administering the Draw, contacting winners, complying with tax law, and publishing the limited winner information set out in clause 9. We will not sell, rent, or share your contact details with any third party for marketing purposes without your express consent. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, to:

• amend these Draw Terms;
• modify the Prize structure, Tier weighting, or Draw mechanics for any future Draw;
• suspend, postpone, or cancel any Draw; and
• terminate the Draw programme entirely.

Any such change will not retroactively affect a Draw whose winners have already been announced, except where required to correct a demonstrable error or to comply with applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the Promoter, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Draw, the inability to participate, the award of any Prize, the use of any Prize, or any acts or omissions of any third-party Prize fulfilment partner. Nothing in these Draw Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law (including for death or personal injury caused by the Promoter's negligence, or for fraud).

The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including without limitation: malfunctioning of any computer, network, hardware, software, telecommunications, internet service provider; lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected entries; or any combination thereof.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Promoter and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Draw Terms, your participation in the Draw, or your acceptance, possession, or use of any Prize.

These Draw Terms are governed by the laws of India. The competent courts at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra(or, for matters falling within its original jurisdiction, the Hon'ble Bombay High Court) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Draw or these Draw Terms, subject to any applicable consumer protection law that confers jurisdiction on the courts of the Participant's ordinary place of residence.

If any provision of these Draw Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid one that, as nearly as possible, reflects the original intent.
